1. Before changing batteries, the UPS mainframe, old batteries, battery monitor and other equipment should be registered and recorded, especially the placement of each layer of batteries and the wiring of the battery monitor. The label and connection diagram should be well marked. Ensure that the effect of battery pack replacement is consistent with the original situation.

2. When everything is ready, UPS batteries should be replaced and handled. The connection switch between UPS mainframe and battery group should be disconnected so as to ensure the safety of staff when replacing batteries. The original battery pack is disassembled. The battery replacement and implementation engineer is responsible for the battery disassembly. Relevant assistant technicians carry out the work of new and old batteries.

When dismantling old batteries, the dismantled battery connection wires and the screw of battery terminals are arranged neatly in boxes to ensure the cleanliness and cleanliness of the machine room. After the old batteries are dismantled, the old batteries and the old battery racks are neatly placed in the position prescribed by Party A. Place the new battery rack assembly in the designated position, and start installing new batteries. After connecting a group of UPS batteries, check whether the connection wires of the battery terminals are firm; check whether the total voltage of the battery pack is normal, and so on, the positive and negative poles of the battery should be connected correctly.

3. After replacing Emerson UPS battery, check the total voltage of battery pack, the connection of positive and negative poles and neutral wires with multimeter. After the battery pack and UPS mainframe are normal, the switch of battery pack is closed to make UPS uninterruptible power supply system return to normal operation. 4. After the UPS mainframe is debugged properly, disconnect the input power switch of the UPS mainframe, simulate the interruption of power failure, and test whether the UPS system can be converted from power supply to backup power supply of batteries, so as to ensure the normal operation of the equipment in the cabinet of the computer room.

5. After the replacement of UPS battery, clean UPS room, clean up debris, and ensure the good environment of UPS room. Preparations made in the room before UPS battery replacement is restored.

Installation steps of UPS battery

How to install UPS batteries depends on the DC voltage required by UPS mainframe. Each UPS mainframe has its own parameter requirements. You can see the product nameplate of UPS. UPS batteries are usually installed in series. You can also divide 16 batteries into two groups, eight batteries in series, and two groups in parallel.

According to the DC input voltage level of UPS, if 192V is 16 12V series connection, if 96V is 8 series connection, if 48V is 4 series connection, 4 groups parallel connection.
